Nancy has an Honours Business Administration from The University of Western Ontario and a Master of Business Administration from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She is a consultant with MLH Holdings Ltd and advises clients in the areas of human capital, succession planning, leadership development, organizational development and strategy. She is formerly the Calgary office leader of Egon Zehnder International, one of the world's leading global executive search firms. As an executive search consultant, Nancy consulted with clients across multiple industries to help them access the global talent pool for senior executives and advised clients on corporate governance and board level hiring.
Nancy also owns a successful business based in Canmore called Positive People Placement Inc. (PPP). PPP is the leading employment services organization in the Bow Valley. It helps businesses in the growing construction and hospitality industries with their recruitment and sourcing strategies.
Prior to returning to Calgary to open Egon Zehnder's Calgary office, Nancy began her career at the Royal Bank of Canada in commercial banking. She then had a successful tenure at McKinsey & Company in Toronto and Chicago as a management strategy consultant. Her main areas of focus were strategic analysis, financial assessment and organizational strategy for companies in the consumer packaged goods and financial services industries. She then joined The Antioch Company in the senior strategy role. The Antioch Company is a global consumer goods company based in Minnesota. Its largest business unit is Creative Memories, a direct seller of photo-albums and scrapbooking accessories. She was responsible for helping the company convert to a 100 percent Employee-Owned company and pursue its international growth strategy.
Nancy also sat on the Board of Directors of The Antioch Company where she served as Chair of the Audit Committee and Vice-Chair of the Board. She also served as Membership Chair for the Calgary Chapter of the International Women's Forum.
One of Nancy's many interests is the outdoors, especially the wonderful mountain environments we have in Alberta. She is committed to helping to conserve one of Alberta's most valuable resources: it's water. This commitment is evident in her passion for the importance and value of corporate governance for Alberta WaterSmart.
